People who aren't willing to put any effort into learning how computers and the internet work are free to stay on Xitter and Facebook. Not everything has to be for everyone.

There are data centers in my neighborhood and I'd be fine with building more. I live in a dense urban area with lots of buildings of all types relatively close to me.

Isn't the simple option to just move time zones? If you're not allowed to swap to PDT year round, just change to MST instead.

This isn't as different as you make it sound. Most people on AT Proto are using Bluesky, so "getting banned" is fundamentally the same for them as getting banned from a Mastodon instance. Conversely, you can just run your own Mastodon instance and the only thing you'd have to worry about is defederation (an "appview ban").

Publishing lies that were generated by the plausible-lie-generating-machine is a very intentional action, it's not a "mistake".
