The first one was very interesting, interestingly it included interbreeding with neanderthals before neanderthal dna was disovered in our DNA.

The rest had quite a soap opera / "housewife porn" elements, but also some interesting bits surrounding toolmaking, hunting, etc.

Yeah there is a fair amount of sexual activity going on but the whole series is about the reverence of the motherly spirit, the donii, and so it's contextually appropriate.
