No, what I meant was that "garage sale" is actually a hyperlink that leads to a Russian website. Sorry for any confusion caused by my bad wording.


There is nothing surprising. Russians watch lots of American movies/TV shows. So many terms are being borrowed. This how the culture spreads. Even though very few Russians would actually hold a sale in a garage due to the difference in housing between Russia and the US


I think he means the link will go to a page in Russian. Though the Russian term is indeed гаражная распродажа, which indeed just translates word-for-word to "garage sale"
